About the Job
We are seeking dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Substitute Childcare Teachers to provide classroom support at childcare centers as needed. This is a great opportunity for early childhood professionals who enjoy working with children and want a flexible schedule while making a positive impact in the classroom.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into classrooms when regular staff members are unavailable and help maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom coverage and support as assigned.
  • Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day.
  • Follow the classroom's established schedule, lesson plans, routines, and center procedures.
  • Assist with age-appropriate learning activities, play, meals, transitions, rest periods, and other daily routines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
  • Use positive and age-appropriate classroom management techniques.
  • Follow all childcare center policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios and active supervision at all times.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with center directors, teachers, families, and other staff.
  • Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and sanitizing as required.
  • Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, schedules, and center environments.
  • Report any concerns, incidents, or important classroom information to the appropriate center staff.

Qualifications:
  • CDA, TCC, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous infant childcare teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
